Beware the Sea-Wolf's Daughter!

Gunnhildr, the Sea-Wolf's Daughter is a Viking shield-maiden with a deadly disposition. She is not in the mood to get married today; in fact, she's more inclined to run you through!

Approaching Final 72 Hours of Campaign!
over 4 years ago – Thu, Aug 15, 2019 at 03:19:23 PM

Gaming peers,

Tonight at 8PM (EST) we will be heading into the final 72 hours for our Kickstarter campaign, HYPERBOREA: Otherworldly Tales. This project is funds the creation, publication, and fulfillment of two new AS&SH adventure modules, The Lost Treasure of Atlantis (Chainsaw) and The Sea-Wolf's Daughter (Talanian).

Our team has been working diligently on the project, accomplishing one small goal at a time, which of course builds to larger goals achieved. For example, yesterday, the final interior art piece was submitted by the talented Mike Tenebrae. A typical finicky artist, I think Mike drew this one from three different angles using three different media before he finally settled on the final rendition. Beware of roosting night-gaunts! ;)

As mentioned above, we've accomplished many goals, which I like to share for sake of transparency and to reinforce buyer confidence. To date we have accomplished the following:

  • Writing (100%)
  • Editing (50%)
  • Cover art (100%)
  • Interior art (100%)
  • Cartography (100%)

We've also got some early layout going, so I'll be sharing the front and back covers for each module in a future update. Like I mentioned last night at our social media locations (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, MeWe), we are firing on all cylinders!

I'm so proud of this team! I tend to share a lot of AS&SH art, because the visual component is so valuable to tabletop RPG adventures, but the words—the content—is what truly makes a great Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea adventure module. The exploration of this unique setting with all its quirks and weirdness is what establishes the kind of mood and flavor that we seek to evoke. So, a tip of the the hat to my fellow author, Chainsaw, editor Ben Ball (author of the popular Beneath the Comet), and editor-in-chief David Prata.

On behalf of North Wind Adventures, thank you for your support and consideration! In these final hours, let's see if we can accomplish another stretch goal: bookmarks for each module!
