Greetings friends,
I was honored to be invited by Luke Gygax to Founders and Legends II in Hollywood! It was a fantastic trip filled with fun and gaming. I got to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones.
The focus of my first day was on Pat Kilbane's excellent documentary, The Dreams in Gary's Basement: A Documentary on Gary Gygax. I was interviewed by Pat, who was genuinely interested in learning more about my thoughts and experiences from when I worked as Gary's co-author. I was honored and flattered to take part in this amazing project!
The next day, on July 27, we celebrated the birthday of Gary Gygax in style at a small studio. This was Founders and Legends II, in which we raised money for Extra Life, a charity that benefits sick children. I got to play in Stefan Pokorny's AD&D game. It was streamed live on Twitch. My fellow players were excellent, even though they foiled all my grand ambitions.
Meantime, I was keeping an eye on our Kickstarter campaign, HYPERBOREA: Otherworldly Tales. It's been about a week since we launched, and it's still growing, getting closer to unlocking the second stretch goal -- a beautifully horrifying raglan shirt with art by our newest artist, David Hoskins.
We still need your help to get there! If you have already pledged your support, thank you very kindly for doing your part to bring this project to life. If you are still considering it, please be assured that our two new adventure modules, The Lost Treasure of Atlantis and The Sea-Wolf's Daughter are going to be excellent adventures that further expand the world of Hyperborea! So many weeks of game play can be enjoyed with each of these adventure modules. You will not be disappointed!
Really, anyone can help with this project by sharing it on social media, if possible. Please consider mentioning it on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, your favorite gaming forum or gaming blog, and so forth. It truly makes a difference!
Thank you for your support and consideration!
Cheers,
Jeffrey Talanian
